s3: replay a delete whose reply the transport dropped (#11022)
* s3: stop retrying a delete the filer refused for a non-empty folder The filer looked and the children are there, so the answer will not change. retryFilerOp spent six attempts and up to 3.1s of backoff on it before the caller could act on the condition it was already holding. Surfaced, it becomes a 500 on the bucket delete, which boto3 resends and is then answered NoSuchBucket, or a per-key InternalError inside the 200 of a multi-object delete, which no SDK retries at all. The replay runs through retryFilerOp, so it draws on the allowance the request already installs rather than paying a backoff per key, and stops for a caller that has gone. rm and rmObject re-enter WithFilerClient per attempt, so each one walks the failover list again on a connection the failed attempt had invalidated; the multi-object loop holds one client for the batch, so there the replay reuses it. Classification stays structural. The filer reports its own refusals in resp.Error, which carries no status and has the deleted path - and, for a recursive delete, the children it stopped on - formatted into it, so no key name can steer the decision either way. rm and rmObject now take the caller's context. Cleanup and rollback paths pass context.Background() deliberately: they have to run whether or not the caller is still waiting. Every key in a multi-object delete drives its own retryFilerOp, so a filer that is briefly unhealthy multiplied one op's ~3.1s of backoff by a key count the client picks. The batch now carries a single allowance in its context, sized to one op's worst case; once it is spent the remaining keys fail fast with a per-key error instead of holding the request goroutine. s3: cover the directory marker key with object lock (#10988)
* s3: enforce object lock when deleting a directory marker The key "dir/" is deleted the unversioned way, ahead of the branches that enforce Object Lock, so a principal with plain delete permission could remove a key the gateway was reporting as COMPLIANCE-retained -- retention set through PutObjectRetention is stored on the directory entry and served back by GetObjectRetention, only the delete ignored it. The same path also takes any key ending in "/" regardless of size, while a PUT only makes a marker of one up to 1KiB. A larger one is a genuine versioned object, and deleting it here dropped its whole history after the versioned delete of the same key had been refused. Enforce in the marker delete itself, so the single, versioned and multi-object delete paths are all covered. * s3: apply object lock headers on a directory marker PUT The trailing-slash branch runs before the versioning and Object Lock handling, so it accepted x-amz-object-lock-* headers and stored none of them: a bucket owner could believe a key was retained while nothing recorded it, and an invalid mode or a past retention date that a regular key rejects came back 200 here. Validate the headers the way the regular path does, store what they ask for beside the owner the same callback already sets, and refuse to replace a key that is already retained. * s3: check every version a marker delete would remove The marker delete clears any history under the key in one recursive removal, while the lock check ahead of it resolves the latest version only. A version retained under an unretained one was taken with the rest, so enforce against each version the removal covers. * test: pin the marker lock refusals to AccessDenied A bare require.Error passes on any failure, including one that has nothing to do with the lock. Assert the code, the key the batch delete reports, and that the marker survives each refusal. * s3: check the history entries a version list leaves out The version list skips an entry without a version id, while the removal takes it with the rest, so an entry an older build left unnamed escaped the check. Walk the history directly instead, and refuse when an unnamed entry is still under a retention or a legal hold of its own. * s3: let a governance bypass reach an unnamed history entry The unnamed branch refused every active retention, so a caller allowed to bypass governance could not clear one, which the named path lets through. Refuse a legal hold and compliance mode as before, and take the bypass into account for governance. * s3: keep the object lock decision in one place The unnamed history entry had to repeat the retention and legal hold rules inline because the enforcement helper only takes a key to look up. Split the part that judges an entry out of it and call that from both. * s3: guard a marker PUT on the entry it replaces The overwrite check resolved the key's latest version, but mkdir builds a fresh entry for the marker itself, dropping the lock metadata the old one carried. Once the key had a history, an unlocked version answered for a retained marker and a plain PUT replaced it. Judge the entry the write is about to replace instead; a versioned write of the same key still adds a version, which is its own to allow. * s3: guard a marker delete on the entry it removes The check ran against the key rather than the entry, so once the key had a history it answered with a version and the retention recorded on the marker itself went unseen. Judge the entry that is about to be removed, the same way the PUT side now does; the versions under it are still covered by the walk that follows. * s3: take the object write lock for a marker PUT The overwrite check read the entry that the mkdir after it replaces, so two marker PUTs could both pass while one was still unlocked. The marker delete already runs under this lock; hold it across the check and the mkdir so the entry cannot change in between, and so the two paths are serialized against each other. |

* s3: keep a missing object a 404 under If-Match and If-Unmodified-Since GET and HEAD resolved the target before evaluating the conditional headers, and a missing target failed If-Match and If-Unmodified-Since outright, so absence surfaced as 412 PreconditionFailed. AWS reports the missing object instead: 404 for HeadObject, NoSuchKey for GetObject, and 412 only when a live object fails the condition. Clients cannot tell absence from a stale precondition without an extra racy HEAD, so OpenDAL disabled its four conditional stat/read capabilities against SeaweedFS. A precondition now only fails against an object that exists; a missing one -- including a latest version that is a delete marker -- returns NoSuchKey. S3: let a key that is a prefix of other keys be an object (#10912)
* filer: keep the sentinel when CreateEntry reports an update failure CreateEntry flattened the error UpdateEntry wraps, so errors.Is stopped matching and ErrExistingIsDirectory and ErrExistingIsFile never reached the S3 mapper, which answered a retryable 500 instead. * s3: let a key that is a prefix of other keys be an object S3 keys are flat, so "a/b" and "a/b/c" are independent objects that coexist in either write order. The filer stores a key as a path, so one of them has to live on the directory the other is nested under. Writing the nested key first refused the prefix key outright. Writing it second promoted the file to a directory, which kept its data but lost the key: an empty object left nothing to recognise it by and disappeared, and one with data listed under a trailing slash it never had. Mark the directory that carries such a key, and write the object onto it when the path is already a directory. The mark makes an empty prefix object visible to listings and readable by GET and HEAD, keeps the empty folder cleaner off it, and lists it under the key it was written with. Deleting the key strips the mark back off along with the data. * filer: keep a TTL off a directory that stands for an object An expired entry is deleted a row at a time, so expiring a directory removes it and leaves everything under it unreachable. Promoting a file to a directory carried its TTL across, and a promoted file is exactly the one that has keys nested under it. Drop the TTL on promotion, and leave one an older build wrote alone. The lifecycle worker still expires the object, through the delete that leaves the directory behind. * s3: delete the null version of a key other keys are nested under The routed delete cannot remove an entry that other keys live under, and answered a retryable 500 rather than falling back to the lock path the unversioned delete already falls back to. That path then looked the entry up under the bucket with the whole key as its name, so the demote wrote it back one directory too high and failed as not found. Fall back on any non-precondition error, and split the key before deleting it. Trailing-slash directory markers with children reach the same delete. * filer: keep the sentinel when MkFile and Mkdir report a create failure Same flattening one layer out: every mkFile caller lost the sentinel, so a CopyObject onto a key that other keys are nested under answered a retryable 500 where a PutObject of the same key answers 409. * s3: copy and rename a key that other keys are nested under Such a key is stored on the directory those keys live in, and copy and rename both refused it: the source lookup maps every directory entry to NoSuchKey, so a key a plain GET serves could not be copied or moved, and the destination side refused it as a directory conflict. The source is read through a view of the entry as the object it names. The destination is written the way a PutObject of that key writes it. A rename at either end copies the object's own data across and strips it off the source key rather than going through AtomicRenameEntry, which moves a directory by moving everything under it - the nested keys are not part of what is being renamed. |

s3: add the RenameObject endpoint (#10659)
* s3: add the RenameObject endpoint
PUT /{bucket}/{key}?renameObject with x-amz-rename-source moves an object
through the filer's AtomicRenameEntry, so no bytes are read or rewritten and
the ETag, tags and SSE keys travel with the entry.
Only unversioned buckets: a versioned rename would have to rebuild the
.versions chain, and AWS offers RenameObject on directory buckets, which
cannot be versioned. The source arrives in a header, so it is authorized
separately for read and delete; both keys are locked, in key order, across the
precondition checks and the move.
* s3: let a matched source ETag precondition settle its date precondition
RFC 7232 has an ETag precondition outrank the date precondition on its own
side, and AWS documents the same for CopyObject: a matching
x-amz-copy-source-if-match with a failing x-amz-copy-source-if-unmodified-since
copies rather than returning 412. The source check evaluated all four headers in
sequence, so the date header could still veto a decided ETag match.
validateConditionalHeadersForReads already applies this precedence; the source
path now matches it.
* s3: cover a rename source named as a directory without a trailing slash
Renaming a directory would move a whole subtree, so it has to stay a missing
key whether or not the caller wrote the trailing slash.
* s3: accept a bare object key as the RenameObject source
AWS spells x-amz-rename-source both ways. Its CLI, Java and Rust examples pass
the bare source key, and only a second CLI example and the boto3 conditional
example pass bucket/key; the API reference's own example is a bare key too. The
header was read as bucket/key only, so the form AWS leads with was rejected with
InvalidArgument and the endpoint was unusable as documented.
A value is now read as a literal key first — the only reading that can never
name the wrong object — and as bucket-qualified second, when it carries the
request's own bucket and the literal key does not exist. That costs one extra
lookup only for a source that starts with the bucket's own name.
Another bucket's name in the source is no longer a distinct error: RenameObject
moves within one bucket, so it is simply part of a key this bucket does not
hold, and it reports NoSuchKey.
* s3: only a proven absence picks the other reading of a rename source
A source that resolves to a directory is not a miss to fall through on: the
literal path is still what the caller named, so answering for it beats renaming
a different object under the bucket-qualified reading. With a directory at
bucket/source.txt and an object at source.txt, a rename naming the former moved
the latter.
A failed lookup is not a proof of absence either, so a blip can no longer
redirect a rename to the other reading.

s3: stop treating a directory marker as a versioned object (#10573)
* s3: delete a directory marker instead of versioning it The key "dir/" is stored as the filer directory itself, so a delete marker cannot stand in for it without hiding the children underneath, and its history has to sit inside the directory it describes, where listings keep meeting it. Delete it the way an unversioned bucket already does: remove the directory when nothing is left under it, demote it to a plain directory when children remain, and drop a history an older build recorded for it. * s3: stop resolving directory markers through a version history Nothing records one for them any more, so the lookups that read it are dead weight - and the one in the listing was a filer round trip per directory marker returned, which for a bucket that keeps a marker per directory is the whole listing cost. A listing reads what a directory stands for straight off the entry it already has; a unit test pins that N markers cost one ListEntries rather than N+1. The guard that keeps a history left inside a directory by an older build from surfacing as a key named after it stays. * s3: do not let deleting "dir/" destroy the object at "dir" Writing under an existing object turns that object's entry into a directory while it keeps its data, so the keys "m2" and "m2/" end up sharing one entry. Stripping the entry to delete "m2/" therefore wiped the object at "m2" - a different key, and in a versioned bucket one no delete marker records. Leave a directory holding uploaded data alone; "m2/" does not name it. * s3: make the directory-marker delete fail closed and take the write lock The guard that spares a promoted file only fired when the entry read succeeded, so a transient filer error fell through to the delete and could destroy the object at "dir" anyway. Fail the request instead, take the object write lock so the entry cannot change between the check and the delete, and report a stale history that cannot be removed rather than leaving it to keep naming the key in ListObjectVersions. * s3: check If-Match inside the directory-marker delete lock The lock belongs to the caller: taking it inside the delete nested it under the batch handler's own lock, and since every lock from a gateway shares one owner the inner release would have freed it while the outer caller still assumed it held it. Both callers now own the lock, the single-object path re-checks If-Match inside it the way the other delete paths do, and a batch delete of a trailing-slash key in an unversioned bucket goes through the same marker path instead of the raw delete. A history lookup that fails now fails the delete. |

Check every path the request touches, reusing pathHasComponentPrefix so `..` in the source is collapsed before the prefix match. * s3: confine iceberg CreateTable location to the catalog bucket CreateTable derived the metadata bucket and path from the client-supplied req.Location / req.Name and wrote there directly, so a caller scoped to one table bucket could place metadata in another bucket (and path.Join collapsed any `..`). Require the parsed bucket to equal the request's catalog bucket and reject traversal segments in the table path. * webdav: clean client path before subFolder confinement wrappedFs concatenated subFolder + name before the underlying FileSystem ran path.Clean, so `..` in the request path or COPY/MOVE Destination resolved across the FilerRootPath confinement boundary. s3: collapse suspended-versioning deletes onto one null marker (#9845)
A suspended-versioning DELETE was recorded with createDeleteMarker, which mints a fresh real version id each time, so repeated suspended deletes piled up delete markers instead of overwriting a single null marker as S3 specifies. Record the suspended delete as a 'null' marker with a fixed file name (v_null) and point the latest-version pointer at it explicitly; putSuspendedVersioningObject's existing null-version cleanup removes it on the next suspended PUT, so the object undeletes cleanly and at most one null marker exists. Enabled-versioning deletes are unchanged (still distinct historical markers). Update TestSuspendedVersioningDeleteBehavior to the AWS-correct counts: one null marker after a suspended delete, and the null marker plus one real marker after a re-enabled delete. |

fix(s3api): authorize DeleteObjects per key so object-scoped policies match (#9793)
Bulk DeleteObjects carries the keys in the request body, so the route Auth middleware ran a single bucket-level check with object="", building the resource ARN as arn:aws:s3:::<bucket>. That never matches an s3:DeleteObject policy scoped to <bucket>/*, so the entire batch was denied even though the single-key DELETE worked with the same credentials. Defer authorization to the handler and check each key via AuthorizeBatchDeleteKey, mirroring AuthorizeCopySource: a synthetic DELETE /<bucket>/<key> request resolves s3:DeleteObject (or s3:DeleteObjectVersion when a versionId is given) against the object ARN. Denied keys come back as per-key errors while authorized keys still delete, matching AWS semantics. |

s3: route object-lock version-specific deletes off the distributed lock (#9657)
A version-specific DELETE (real version or the null version, including object-lock WORM-checked ones and governance-bypass) now runs as one routed transaction on the object's owner instead of holding the distributed lock. For a real version: recompute the .versions pointer excluding the version (repoint-before-delete, so a crash leaves a recoverable orphan rather than a dangling pointer), then delete the version file, under the object's per-path lock. The null version is the regular object entry, deleted directly (no pointer). Object-lock buckets gate the delete on the version's WORM guards evaluated on the owner: legal hold (always) + retention (while not elapsed). Governance bypass scopes the retention guard to COMPLIANCE mode, so the filer allows a governance-mode delete while still denying compliance and legal hold — the gateway never reads the version. Three primitives make this expressible: - ObjectTransaction.condition_key: evaluate the condition against a named entry (the version) while the lock stays on lock_key (the object). - Recompute.exclude_name: omit a child from the scan, to repoint before delete. - WriteCondition.Clause gate_key/gate_value: scope IF_EXTENDED_TIME_ELAPSED to a mode, expressing governance bypass without a gateway-side read. |

s3: route versioned/suspended delete markers and versioned COPY off the lock createDeleteMarker flips the .versions pointer via routedVersionedFinalize (RECOMPUTE_LATEST on the owner filer) when an owner is known, so an Enabled or Suspended DeleteObject takes its pointer flip off the distributed lock; the delete marker file is written first and the owner re-derives the pointer. DeleteObjectHandler routes a versioned/suspended delete with no specific version straight to the owner, off the lock. A specific-version delete and object-lock buckets keep the lock (the former needs a recompute-after-delete handled separately; the latter needs gateway-side enforcement). CopyObject into a versioned bucket finalizes the new version through the same routed pointer flip. |

s3: route non-versioned object PUT and DELETE off the distributed lock A non-versioned, non-object-lock object write now goes straight to the key's owner filer as a single-mutation ObjectTransaction, which serializes it with the owner's per-path lock and evaluates the precondition, instead of taking a cluster-wide lock. PUT and DELETE use the object's full path as the lock key, so a concurrent create and delete of the same key serialize against each other. The fast path is taken only when the precondition reduces to clauses the filer can evaluate (existence and a single strong-ETag match); time-based conditions, ETag lists, weak ETags, post-create hooks, and an unknown owner fall back to the lock. A routed mutation error other than a failed precondition also falls back, so the lock path stays the authority for the cases it alone covers. PrimaryForKey returns "" until the ring view arrives, keeping writes on the lock until routing is known. |

* feat(s3/versioning): grep-able heal logs + scan-anomaly diagnostics + audit cmd Three diagnostic additions on top of #9460, all aimed at making the next production incident faster to triage than the one we just spent hours on. 1. [versioning-heal] grep prefix on every heal-related log line, with a small fixed event vocabulary (produced / surfaced / healed / enqueue / drain / retry / gave_up / anomaly / clear_failed / heal_persist_failed / teardown_failed / queue_full). One grep gives operators a single event stream across the produce-to-drain lifecycle. 2. Escalate the "scanned N>0 entries but no valid latest" case in updateLatestVersionAfterDeletion from V(1) Infof to a Warning that names the orphan entries it saw. This is the listing-after-rm inconsistency signature that pinned down 259064a8's failure — it should not be invisible at default log levels. 3. New weed shell command `s3.versions.audit -prefix <path> [-v] [-heal]` that walks .versions/ directories under a prefix and reports the stranded population. With -heal it clears the latest-version pointer in place on stranded directories so subsequent reads return a clean NoSuchKey instead of replaying the 10-retry self-heal loop. * fix(s3/versioning): audit pagination, exclusive categories, ctx-aware retry Address PR review: 1. s3.versions.audit walked only the first 1024-entry page of each .versions/ directory, false-positiving "stranded" on large dirs. Loop until the page returns < 1024 entries, advancing startName. 2. clean and orphan-only categories double-counted when a directory had no pointer and at least one orphan: incremented both. Make them mutually exclusive so report totals sum to versionsDirs. 3. retryFilerOp's worst-case ~6.3s backoff was a bare time.Sleep, non-interruptible by ctx. A server shutdown / client disconnect would wait out the budget per in-flight delete. Thread ctx through deleteSpecificObjectVersion -> repointLatestBeforeDeletion / updateLatestVersionAfterDeletion -> retryFilerOp; backoff now uses a select{<-ctx.Done(), <-timer.C}. HTTP handlers pass r.Context(); gRPC lifecycle handlers pass the stream ctx. New test pins the behavior: cancelling ctx mid-backoff returns ctx.Err() in <500ms instead of blocking ~6.3s. * fix(s3/versioning): clearStale outcome + escape grep-able log fields Two coderabbit follow-ups: 1. Successful pointer clear should suppress `produced`. updateLatestVersionAfterDeletion's transient-rm fallback called clearStaleLatestVersionPointer best-effort, then unconditionally returned retryErr. The caller (deleteSpecificObjectVersion) saw the error and emitted `event=produced` + enqueued the reconciler, even though clearStaleLatestVersionPointer had just driven the pointer to consistency and the next reader would get NoSuchKey via the clean-miss path. Make clearStaleLatestVersionPointer return cleared bool; on success the caller returns nil so neither produced nor the reconciler enqueue fires. Concurrent-writer aborts, re-scan errors, and CAS mismatches still report false so genuinely stranded state keeps surfacing. 2. Escape user-controlled fields in heal log lines. versioningHealInfof / Warningf / Errorf interpolated raw bucket / key / filename / err text into a single-space-separated line. An S3 key (or error string from gRPC) containing whitespace, newlines, or `event=...` could split one event into multiple tokens and spoof fake fields downstream. Sanitize each arg in the helper: safe values pass through; anything with whitespace, quotes, control chars, or backslashes is replaced with its strconv.Quote form. No caller changes — the format strings remain unchanged. Tests pin both behaviors: sanitization table covers the field boundary cases; an end-to-end shape test confirms a key containing `event=spoof` stays inside a single quoted token. |

* fix(s3/audit): emit audit log for successful GET/HEAD Successful GET/HEAD object requests never produced a fluent audit entry because those handlers write the response directly (streaming for GET, WriteHeader for HEAD) and never reach a PostLog call site. The wiki advertises GET as an audited verb, so the asymmetry surprises operators who rely on the log for read-access auditing. Move the safety net into the track() middleware: tag each request with an audit-tracking flag, let PostLog/PostAccessLog (delete path) mark it, and emit a single fallback entry after the handler returns when nothing fired. The recorder's status flows into the fallback so the audit row still reflects 200/206 vs 404 etc. No double logging for handlers that already emit (write helpers, error paths, bulk delete). To make the wiring observable without standing up fluent, PostLog now marks the audit flag before short-circuiting on a nil Logger; production behavior is unchanged (no logger, no posting) but the flag stays consistent. Also drops two stale comments in s3api_object_handlers.go that still referenced proxyToFiler — that helper was removed when GET/HEAD started streaming from volume servers directly. Stacks on #9467. |

Non-lifecycle callers (DELETE handlers, batch delete) pass false to preserve today's eager-chunk-delete behavior; only the lifecycle handler in the next commit will pass true. * feat(s3/lifecycle): metadata-only delete when entry TtlSec > 0 Per-write TTL stamping (PR 9377) sets Attributes.TtlSec on every lifecycle-fitting entry. When the live entry the LifecycleDelete handler fetched carries TtlSec > 0 the volume server is guaranteed to reclaim chunks at TTL drop, so the filer can skip per-chunk DeleteFile RPCs and just remove the entry record. lifecycleDispatch now computes metadataOnly from the live entry and threads it through the unversioned, suspended-null, and noncurrent/expired-marker delete paths. createDeleteMarker is unaffected — it creates a marker, never deletes chunks. |

Before this change, enforceObjectLockProtections() would always call getObjectEntry() to fetch object metadata to check for retention/legal hold, even for buckets that never had Object Lock configured. Changes: 1. Add early return in enforceObjectLockProtections() if bucket has no Object Lock config or bucket doesn't exist 2. Add isObjectLockEnabled() helper function to check if a bucket has Object Lock configured 3. Processing is triggered when: - Queue size reaches maxSize (default 1000), OR - Oldest item exceeds maxAge (default 10 minutes) Key features: - O(1) Add, Remove, Pop, Contains operations - Duplicate folders are ignored (keeps original position/time) - Testable with injectable time function - Thread-safe with mutex protection * filer: use CleanupQueue for empty folder cleanup Replace timer-per-folder approach with queue-based processing: - Use CleanupQueue for deduplication and ordered processing - Process queue when full (1000 items) or oldest item exceeds 10 minutes - Background processor checks queue every 10 seconds - Remove from queue on create events to cancel pending cleanup Benefits: - Bounded memory: queue has max size, not unlimited timers - Efficient: O(1) add/remove/contains operations - Batch processing: handle many folders efficiently - Better for high-volume delete scenarios * filer: CleanupQueue.Add moves duplicate to back with updated time When adding a folder that already exists in the queue: - Remove it from its current position - Add it to the back of the queue - Update the queue time to current time This ensures that folders with recent delete activity are processed later, giving more time for additional deletes to occur. * filer: CleanupQueue uses event time and inserts in sorted order Changes: - Add() now takes eventTime parameter instead of using current time - Insert items in time-sorted order (oldest at front) to handle out-of-order events - When updating duplicate with newer time, reposition to maintain sort order - Ignore updates with older time (keep existing later time) This ensures proper ordering when processing events from distributed filers where event arrival order may not match event occurrence order. * filer: remove unused CleanupQueue functions (SetNowFunc, GetAll) Removed test-only functions: - SetNowFunc: tests now use real time with past event times - GetAll: tests now use Pop() to verify order Kept functions used in production: - Peek: used in filer_notify_read.go - OldestAge: used in empty_folder_cleaner.go logging * filer: initialize cache entry on first delete/create event Previously, roughCount was only updated if the cache entry already existed, but entries were only created during executeCleanup. This meant delete/create events before the first cleanup didn't track the count. Now create the cache entry on first event, so roughCount properly tracks all changes from the start. * filer: skip adding to cleanup queue if roughCount > 0 If the cached roughCount indicates there are still items in the folder, don't bother adding it to the cleanup queue. This avoids unnecessary queue entries and reduces wasted cleanup checks. * filer: don't create cache entry on create event Only update roughCount if the folder is already being tracked. New folders don't need tracking until we see a delete event. * filer: move empty folder cleanup to its own package - Created weed/filer/empty_folder_cleanup package - Defined FilerOperations interface to break circular dependency - Added CountDirectoryEntries method to Filer - Exported IsUnderPath and IsUnderBucketPath helper functions * filer: make isUnderPath and isUnderBucketPath private These helpers are only used within the empty_folder_cleanup package. |

Fix for DeleteMultipleObjectsHandler wrongly deleting parent folders (#6380)
What problem are we solving? Fix: #6379 How are we solving the problem? We check for the AllowEmptyFolders option prior to cascade deleting parent folders in S3 DeleteMultipleObjectsHandler. How is the PR tested? We ran SeaweedFS in a Kubernetes Cluster with a joint Filer and S3 server in one container, with leveldb2 as the filer storage, and AllowEmptyFolders set to true. When using the Distribution Registry as the S3 client, it calls the DeleteMultipleObjectsHandler as part of the artifact upload process (uploads to a temp location, then performs a copy and delete). Without this fix, the deletion cascade deleted parent folder until the entire contents of the bucket were gone. With this fix, the existing content of the bucket remained, and the newly uploaded content was added. Checks [ ] I have added unit tests if possible.
