Chris Lu b0ab4c4e1e shell: make every -collection flag parse the same way (#11794)
* shell: make every -collection flag parse the same way

The filter vocabulary (comma-separated names, wildcards, regexes,
"_default" for the empty-named collection) already existed in
wildcard.CompileCollectionMatcher, but several commands still did their
own exact-match comparison or sent the raw flag value to servers.

fs.mergeVolumes used a literal string compare, so -collection=_default
silently produced an empty merge plan; it now uses the shared matcher
while keeping "*" as the match-all default. volume.fsck and volume.mark
filter through the matcher too, and volume.vacuum resolves the filter
client-side into per-collection and per-volume requests, since no
Collection value scopes the VacuumVolume RPC to the unnamed collection
alone.

Commands that put one concrete collection name on the wire normalize
"_default" to "" (volume.grow, fs.configure, mq.topic.compact,
collection.delete, ec.rebuild, ec.balance), and the tier -volumeId
commands resolve the volume's actual collection from topology first so
patterns and named-collection requests pass the volume server's
collection check.

* shell: spell the default-collection keyword via CollectionDefault

* shell: address review findings on collection filter handling

volume.fsck keeps a set of every volume the master knows before any
filtering, so a filer entry whose volume was excluded by -collection or
-volumeId is skipped instead of reported "volume not found" and deleted
by -reallyDeleteFilerEntries. The collection filter also no longer
scopes the filer walk to /buckets/<collection>: fs.configure can bind a
collection to any path prefix, and a narrower walk could mark live
chunks as orphans under -reallyDeleteFromVolume.

ec.rebuild and ec.balance resolve -collection through the new
wildcard.ExpandCollectionFilter, which passes literal names through even
when the master does not list them — ec.rebuild must be able to recover
a collection whose shards all lost their index and never registered.

fs.configure and mq.topic.compact now reject _default outright: an empty
Collection means "unset" in both the path-rule merge and the filer's
storage-option fallback chain, so the keyword would have been silently
ignored.

The unnamed-collection vacuum sweep keeps the master's low-disk-space
exception: a volume whose every replica is read-only is probed with
VacuumVolumeCheck and stays eligible when a replica reports
DiskSpaceLow, instead of being dropped outright.

ec.encode [-collection=""] [-fullPercent=95 -quietFor=1h] [-batchSize=10] [-verbose] [-sourceDiskType=<disk_type>] [-diskType=<disk_type>]
ec.encode [-volumeId=<volume_id>|-volumeIds=<volume_id>,...] [-batchSize=10] [-verbose] [-diskType=<disk_type>]
This command will:
1. freeze one volume
2. apply erasure coding to the volume
3. (optionally) re-balance encoded shards across multiple volume servers
The erasure coding is 10.4. So ideally you have more than 14 volume servers, and you can afford
to lose 4 volume servers.
If the number of volumes are not high, the worst case is that you only have 4 volume servers,
and the shards are spread as 4,4,3,3, respectively. You can afford to lose one volume server.
If you only have less than 4 volume servers, with erasure coding, at least you can afford to
have 4 corrupted shard files.
The guarantee follows from where shards land: a volume survives the loss of any
nodes (or racks) that hold at most parityShards (4) shards between them. Spread
is best-effort; -shardReplicaPlacement requests limits: its rack digit
sets the requested shards per rack, and its node digit the requested shards
per node (the data-center digit is not used for EC). For example
-shardReplicaPlacement=021 requests at most 1 shard per node and 2 per rack.
Only when the final placement meets these limits does losing one rack cost
at most 2 shards; the command does not guarantee that the limits are met.
The -collection parameter is a comma-separated list of collection names, with
"*" and "?" wildcards, and regex patterns:
- One collection: ec.encode -collection="mybucket"
- Several collections: ec.encode -collection="mybucket,otherbucket"
- Match by prefix: ec.encode -collection="bucket*"
- Match all collections: ec.encode -collection="*"
- The empty-named collection: ec.encode -collection="` + CollectionDefault + `"
Options:
-verbose: show detailed reasons why volumes are not selected for encoding
-sourceDiskType: filter source volumes by disk type (hdd, ssd, or empty for all)
-diskType: target disk type for EC shards (hdd, ssd, or empty for default hdd)
-batchSize: encode/rebalance/verify/delete this many volumes at a time (default 10; 0 = all in one batch)
-volumeIds: comma-separated volume IDs to encode
Each batch is committed independently. If a later batch fails, earlier batches
are already encoded and their original volumes deleted.
Examples:
# Encode SSD volumes to SSD EC shards (same tier)
ec.encode -collection=mybucket -sourceDiskType=ssd -diskType=ssd
# Encode SSD volumes to HDD EC shards (tier migration to cheaper storage)
ec.encode -collection=mybucket -sourceDiskType=ssd -diskType=hdd
# Encode all volumes to SSD EC shards
ec.encode -collection=mybucket -diskType=ssd
# Encode selected volume IDs and delete originals after each batch
ec.encode -volumeIds=101,102,103 -batchSize=2
